fabric basket to get ready for handstitching

Today I would like to share my latest finish with you.

I made quite a few of these fabric baskets before. Usually for the kids. Organizing their toys, creams and lotions, pampers and books. But this time, I made it for me!!!

I used the same fabric that I used for my little drawstring bags. Inside, the basket is stabilized with Soft & Stable by Annie and it worked out well. It really sits nicely without being wobbly. Sewing it wasn't as easy as I thought it might be. And I struggled a bit ironing the seams; therefore it might look a bit untidy.

The intention for this basket is to store my handstitching tools that I will need to work on the Modern Medallion Quilt. The handstitching class started on monday and I am afraid I am already behind... But now, with my new basket, I will definitely make up for it. Fingers crossed.

Happy Sewing.
Laura
